EMCO wedge sockets offer a number of features when
compared to traditional babbit sockets.
First and foremost the installation process is safer.
The wedge socket installation process does not require
the handling of molten babbit or chemicals.
Secondly, the inspection process is safer and easier.
With wedge sockets the rope and socket connection
is completely visible.
Thirdly, the installation process is less expensive.
Labor time is less to install wedge sockets. Fire
alarms and smoke alarms do not have to be disconnected
and reconnected.
